part one

Krista and Ray got lost. It was already dark as they were driving by the forest and they got to a strange town, covered in fog. There was nobody on the streets and all the shops were closed. They made for the only opened place - the hotel called 'Bella Muerte'.

"A great name for a hotel," whispered Krista ironically.
"For sure. Let's ask the receptionist where we are."

They came closer to the reception desk, but nobody was there. Suddenly, a dim voice spoko behind thm.

"Welcome to the hotel 'Bella Muerte'!"

It was a man with long black hair and green eyes.

"My name's Gerard and I'm the owner of this hotel. Feel free to choose any room you like..."
"Sure, thanks. Can you tell us where we are?" asked Ray.
"You are in Deathsville," answered Gerard, smiling unpleasantly.
"Oh," said Ray. "I understand... Krista, wait a minute and I'll be back with our stuff, OK?"
"Yeah," she replied. "But I don't like this place," she added much more quietly.
"Be right back, promise!" assured her Ray, kissing her forehead and going back to their car.

Krista sat down on the chair in the lobby and suddenly she realized that Gerard disappeared. She really didn't want to spend the night there, but she knew she couldn't make Ray drive when he was tired...

"I'm back!" announced Ray, carrying their suitcases. "Which room do we want to stay in?"
"Doesn't matter," she said.

They took the key to the room number 9. As soon as they entered it, Krista turned on all the lights.

"What are you doing, sweetheart?" asked Ray.

She didn't answer and just locked the door from inside, leaving the key in the key hole. Ray looked around.

"It's just a normal room, what's wrong?"
"I told you I don't like this place... What if that GERARD comes here and kills us in our sleep? I'm scared..." she clang to him.

Ray embraced her.

"Don't worry, I won't anybody hurt you," he smiled. "You're tired, it's because of that..."
"Hope so..." she whispered.

Then she went to the bathroom and started to scream. Ray immediately ran to her. She was pointing at the bloodied walls and a bloodied bathtub with a dead body in it. Krista hid her face in Ray's chest, sobbing.

"You were right - this place's suspicious. Let's get outta here!" suggested Ray.

He unlocked the door, but it was still closed.

"Shit!" he swore, trying to open it. "We'll have to escape through the balcony!"

Unfortunately, the balcony was also closed. Ray turned Krista
"Stand as far from it as you can!"

He covered his hand with a sheet and broke the glass. As it was the first floor, he jumped down onto the grass.

"Jump, I'll catch you!" he told Krista.

Krista was really scared, but Ray cought her, as he promised to. Luckily, they took both of their suitcases, so they could leave without anything left. They reached their car and drove away...

"Hmm... The fog's too think to drive," said Ray.
"But what are we going to do now? We're still in Deathsville, that's for sure. Ray, do something!" Krista started to panic.
"Don't worry, nothing bad can happen. I think we should stop and  just sleep. We're both tired and it'll be good for us. Besides, the fog will disappear by the morning. I'll lock us from inside, nobody will break in."
"Oh, OK..." Krista sighed.

They lowered their seats, laid themselves and soon fell asleep...

CRUSH!!!

Krista woke up and started to shake Ray's arm.

"Ray, wake up! Something's bad going on!"

She looked outside and her eyes widened in terror.

"ZOMBIES!!!" she shouted.

Three zombies were attacking their car and trying to break the window-pane. Ray tried to start the car, but couldn't - the zombies destroyed it. He hugged Krista.

"Krista... Whatever happens... I've always loved you," he whispered.
"I know that, Ray. I love you too..."

He kissed her gently, praying for a light death for both of them...

"Haha, here I come, zombies!" said a strange voice.

Suddenly, the zombies stopped attacking them, because they were caught in a big net. A strange blond guy knocked on the window-pane, so Ray opened the door and got out.

"Are you OK?" asked the guy.
"Yes, thanks. You saved us," said Ray.
"Nah, it's my job to catch different creatures," he answered, smiling. "Oh, sorry, I didn't introduce myself! I'm Adam."
"Nice to meet you. I'm Ray and this is Krista," said Ray.
"Hi, Krista !" Adam kissed Krista's hand.
"Oh, how nice of you!" said Krista, surprised.

She caught a glimpse of Ray's face - he didn't seem to like what Adam had done. She couldn't understand it.

"He just wants to be nice," she thought.

"I can see you've got problems with your car, right?" asked Adam.
"Indeed," replied Ray. "Gonna call the service..."
"Oh, I can give you a lift," offered Adam.
"There's no need..." muttered Ray.
"Aww, Ray, let him lift us if he really wants to help us," said Krista.

Ray sighed heavily.

"OK, I'll go and attach our car to Adam's."
"I think Ray doesn't like me," whispered Adam to Krista when Ray went away.
"He's just tired, that's all... Tired and scared..."
"What about you? Are YOU scared?" asked Adam.
"Honestly? Like hell! I didn't like this place from the very beginning."
"Don't worry, I won't let anybody hurt you!"

She was sure she'd heard such words before. Ray...
